The entire world will be celebrating the New Year’s Eve 2018 and will be welcoming the new year 2019. In order to mark the occasion search engine giant Google has also dedicated a doddle for the occasion. The New Year’s Eve doodle consists of two baby elephants who are tossing balloons and eating popcorn.

Talking about the doodle in its official post the company said, “A mammoth pile of balloons? Check. A ton of party hats? Check. A herd of friends and family ready to countdown? Check. Let the New Year’s Eve festivities commence! At the stroke of midnight, it’s out with the old and in with the new. We’ll sing that song “Should old acquaintance be forgot,” but there’s no need to worry about our purple friends. Elephants never forget.

For the Google doodle the company ask the designers and also invite designs from people who will modify its logo and create something related to the occasion. The company always use Google doodle in order to mark any important occasion, festival, achievement and birth anniversaries of important people.

This year the company has opted for animated theme for the New Year’s Eve doodle. The doodle consist of two animated purple baby elephants who are buy blowing ballons using their trunk and are also seen playing with them. On the other hand, the second elephant in the doodle can also been seen tossig popcorn in its mouth. Behind them there is a wall which has a clock which is about to strike 12am and a wall hanging with the Google logo.

People across the world celebrate December 31 as New Year’s Eve. Many countries also witness fireworks, parties and various other kinds of celebrations on this day. It is also interesting to note that more than 24 times people around the world count from 10 to 1 in order to welcome the new year. Last year, the Google doodle for New Year’s Eve consists of a family of birds, which included parrots and penguins.
