Etsy’s Search Analytics tool is now available to all sellers, and the company will hold a chat session on November 7 to discuss the new tool and answer questions.
Etsy Search Analytics gives sellers more information about traffic to listings that come from Etsy own search engine and shows exactly which search terms shoppers used to find sellers’ listings.
Etsy had initially begun rolling out the tool on October 9th, but after sellers complained the tool was providing inaccurate data, Etsy recalled it, explaining, “There’s a ton of data to share about the thousands of searches happening on Etsy and we need a little bit more time to make sure everything is running smoothly.”
Note that Etsy Search Analytics is different than Etsy Stats, which will continue to be available to sellers. Search Analytics focuses on traffic coming from Etsy’s search engine. According to Etsy’s Seller Handbook, Etsy Stats provides information about traffic – including all sources of traffic; listings – including the number of favorites, visits, orders, and revenue for each item in a seller’s shop; and customers, which includes a world map showing visits and orders by country.
Etsy informed sellers of the new tool on Thursday with the following email:
